The food and staff were OUTSTANDING. Very easy to get from Inverness airport, just 20 km.
Lovely place for exploring Inverness. A good choice of food, which was delicious to satisfy everyone.
Excellent value for money, comfort and convenience, and a thoroughly friendly and professional team of service providers.
I have been before, so knew what to expect and had the same standard of room second time around. It was pleasant and spacious, with excellent Wi Fi and a good standard of bathroom and lovely views of the gardens. As this was a trip with my husband, we took the opportunity to escape to the restuarant and treat ourselves to dinner. I am so glad we did. EVERYTHING was first class and it has been years since we have experienced such fantastic service. The wine waiter was a dream and went out of his way to open a bottle of desert wine when my husband explained he was just wanting to have the one glass. Everyone was attentive and the food was the best we have had in ages. Breakfast was the same - impeccable, faultless service with attentive, although not intrusive staff that were freindly and pleasant. (Beautiful floral display in the reception - really elegant and smelled delicious!)
The reception was not as good as the rest of our experience with the receptionist not even breaking a into a polite smile for the purpose of courtesy. I had to ask what time breakfast was and where the restuarant was (I had forgotten). We felt pressured to make a decision to book dinner (we were undecided on check-in). I was very disappointed to find the fridge was not working in our room and to be advised when we called reception that none of the fridges worked and were being replaced. A simple explanation on check-in would have been sufficient or even a little note for guests explaining this with an apology in the room? We were brought ice on request which was hassle free. Apart from those 2 very minor details, our stay was comfortable and pleasant and we will book again.
We enjoyed our short stay at this Hotel, we were on our way to the north of Scotland. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant and the food was delicious.
Very helpful staff, excellent food - both dinner & breakfast
Location of the hotel was really good, very quiet and open area but yet very close drive to the centre of Inverness.
Whilst the food was excellent, there was a very limited choice for dinner and with the cost of certain items, did not feel this was very good value for money.
Very comfortable room, fantastic breaksfast.
The atmosphere, the reception and the furniture in the room. Oh and the shower - good size and an actual shower! Not a bath shower!
The cleaning staff kept on knocking even though the room was available to me until 11h00. I did not have any notice to put on the door.
The reception staff was very helpful and offered an upgrade when the room originally allocated to us proved to be well below our expectations. The room we finally stayed in was spacious, very nicely decorated, with excellent view and comfortable bed. Wi-fi was good and free of charge.
Although the location on Booked.net was described as '10 min walk from the centre of Inverness, which made us believe that it was within walking distance from the city centre, the hotel is actually located outside the city of Inveness, a 10-15 min walk from the nearest bus stop. As bus services to the city centre from that area are not that frequent we ended up taking taxis twice a day (with an additional cost of about 16-17 pounds per day). We finally ended up hiring a car and the hotel proved then to be very conveniently placed near the motorway to Perth. The mini bar was empty, there was no change of sheets or even pillow cases although we stayed for three nights, bathrobes, although promised, were only provided on the last day.Slippers were nowhere to be found.
As above - excellent location, service and comfort.
The hotel location was ideal for myself and guests visiting the highlands and Inverness
Lack of attention to detail in the hotel. My Mother in Law was unable to enter via the revolving door. No one was able to let her in the other exit. She stood out in the cold for 10 mins until I gained access and opened the alternative exit. Only one person on desk on arrival.
Staff were very attentive, service of the highest quality. Room was very comfortable.
The shower in the room had no pressure at all. Bring sat nav or a map to find the hotel, its a bit out of the way.
Friendly staff. Cleanliness of room which was lovely and spacious with all necessary facilities. Great breakfast Attending wedding reception which was perfect in every way. Deer grazing outside window .
The Hotel was the most expensive that we had chosen of those in our 18 days away. A beautiful Hotel in a lovely setting. Would be considered Luxuary status. First evening 19th June, all ran very well in the dining experience, organised by two ladies who worked together to make sure the dining area was running well, and the Head waiter and one other male waiter were excellent. However as I will explain in the next section this did not last.
On our second evening 20th June, we came down to our meal were given a menu, then were left sitting there. After 25 minutes a Wine waiter came to our assistance by informing the DiningDroom that we had been sitting there unattended as we said for 25 minutes. My wife wanted a steak and was then told it would be another 45 minutes to have it cooked how she wanted it. When we got into the Dining Room, the double doors to another room were open and there was a noisy gathering in ther, now the Dining Room had to eat with the noise, tuneless singing, and at the same time with that music a tape was being played against it into the room. This tape was the same one both nights played over and over again. At breakfast it all happened again, ages for food, doors open lots of noise and the main Dining Room came badly second to the large numbers being attended to in the next room, It was inadequatelly staffed to deal with both at the same time. The main dining residents were side-lined for the greater number. We have no problems with larger parties for what ever reason being there, but right next to other residents who have paid a lot of money for a "Luxury" place to stay and eat leisurely became ignored. The Hotel is lovely, the Service appalling.
